Beach House, Gerringong

Custom Built Duplex
ABOUT THE PROJECT

Morrow Building was involved from the initial planning phase of this custom built duplex in Gerringong. The steep block and highly reactive soil from previous land use created some additional challenges for the client. We were able to provide engineering solutions and advise on suitable building methods to address these issues. Construction took place over a 6 month period.

The result is a modern duplex, each with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathroom and a single car garage. The exterior features beautiful stonework and western red cedar cladding on the lower storey.

The interior features a contemporary white and charcoal colour palette, with polished concrete and timber flooring and sleek modern cabinetry in the kitchens and bathrooms. The decks on the second storey have beautiful ocean views.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

"I am amazed at the transformation from start to finish. From what was a rundown, derelict house with an overgrown garden, to a contemporary 6-unit complex with clean lines and unique textures created by the many building materials used in this project, all of which are highlighted by the timber feature walls."
