Cottage Renovation, Berry

Extensive renovations to maximise living space with minimal extensions
ABOUT THE PROJECT

This beautiful Berry cottage originates from 1890s and had previously been renovated in the early 2000s, adding a modern extension to the rear. The 2019 renovation focused on changes to the existing floorplan, mainly in the older part of the home. The master bedroom was extended using the existing gable at the front of the property, adding a bay window and allowing for the addition of an ensuite bathroom. The floorplan of the existing bathroom, seperate toilet and laundry was reconfigured to create new larger bathroom and laundry spaces. In the more modern part of the home, a bay window was installed and walls moved to allow the recess of kitchen cabinetry. This project was completed in 4 months.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

"I am amazed at the transformation from start to finish. From what was a rundown, derelict house with an overgrown garden, to a contemporary 6-unit complex with clean lines and unique textures created by the many building materials used in this project, all of which are highlighted by the timber feature walls."
